Appointments & Scheduling Details

We know you have many choices when choosing a Periodontist in Poughkeepsie, NY so we have made requesting an appointment a simple process via our Web site. We will schedule your first appointment as promptly as possible. If, for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible. Our office requires 48 hours notice to change or cancel appointments.

Insurance & Billing
Just as we are committed to providing excellent dental health care, we are concerned with making it affordable for you. One way we accomplish this is by limiting costly billing procedures and requesting payment at the time of your visit. For your convenience, we accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover, American Express, Care Credit, checks and cash.

Dental Insurance : We are an out of network provider. While we do not accept the insurance as a form of payment, we submit claims on our patients' behalf. We make any/all reimbursements payable to the subscriber/patient. We will gladly submit for a predetermination of benefits so that you will know what reimbursement to expect for your treatment. Our staff will provide you with the necessary forms for insurance reimbursement if you would prefer us not to submit on your behalf. We usually file any pre-estimates, since the insurance company generally requires X-rays, periodontal charting, and a detailed treatment plan. Completed treatment forms are typically submitted after your Estimate of Benefits has been returned to us and treatment has been performed. Questions regarding the terms of your coverage or delays in payment should be directed to your insurance carrier by you or your employee benefits administrator. It is important to remember that your carrier's contract is with you or your employer, not with our office, so we can not guarantee your coverage or benefits.

Please keep in mind that our office will always come under the category of "outside the network" or "non-participating providers".

We realize that in these challenging times, it is difficult to make a decision for quality above less "out-of-pocket" choices – but we are confidant that our office will make a positive difference in your oral healthcare and even possibly your overall healthier lifestyle.

Payment plans : Our goal is to make sure that all our patients leave our office feeling good about their financial arrangement. Since some dental procedures may require more flexible options, our staff will strive to create a payment schedule that fits your budget. Please ask our front desk staff about the financial arrangement that best suits your needs.

Payment Options
Full payment is expected at time of service. Cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover are accepted. Care Credit- Patient Payment Plans may be arranged with prior approval. Your insurance coverage may or may not include benefits for periodontal treatment. Benefits are dictated by the terms of your or your employer’s contract with the insurance carrier. Plans vary enormously, even within the same company, in levels of reimbursement, excluded services, deductibles, maximum annual or lifetime benefits, and terms of payment. Few insurance plans cover all fees. Many provide partial coverage. Some specifically exclude some or all periodontal services and/or implants. Regardless of coverage, the patient, not the insurance company, is ultimately responsible for fees incurred in this office.

Financial Policy
The financial policy in our office is that patients pay us in full the day that service is provided (or started in the case of a multiple-visit procedure), unless prior arrangements have been made with the Office Manager. For certain lengthy appointments, we may ask for a deposit in advance to reserve the Doctor's time.

We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, cashier checks, Visa, Discover, American Express and Mastercard.

For those interested in extended payment plans, we have an excellent outside finance service: Care Credit .

CareCredit is a flexible patient/client payment program, specifically designed for healthcare expenses, that makes it easier for you to get the treatment or procedures you want and need. CareCredit is ideal for co-payments, deductibles, treatment and procedures not covered by insurance, and can be used at over 35,000 practices nationwide.

With CareCredit, you pay no up-front costs, no pre-payment penalties and no fees. Plus, CareCredit is a revolving credit line for additional treatment or add-on charges, without the need to re-apply.

Please visit their website for more specific information, or call our office .

Our office strives to provide the best quality in service to our patients.

It is one of our tenets to apprise you of the fee(s) for your treatment in advance. However, due to the very nature of any individual dental situation, your necessary treatment may differ from the original plan. We will keep you informed if any change in your treatment is recommended. You will be advised of any difference in fee(s) accordingly.
